Universal Observations Up and Running!
In August of 2017, I put my camera phone into “Pro” mode and adjusted the settings to allow me to photograph the eclipse through 2 pair of polarized sunglasses.
A few months later, April of 2018, in my driveway, phone camera in “Pro” mode again taking 10 second exposures, on self timer, phone (face down) on the roof of my car, I was able to catch a meteor.
I have a tiny Meade telescope I received as a gift years ago. One morning, in late August 2018, I set it up and was able to hold the lens from my phone just right to snap a decent picture of the moon.
All of these things made me realize, why don’t I just get into astrophotography?
This site will be about the things I learn as a newbie, photos, information, and insights that it took me a long time to figure out.
Thanks for “Observing”!
